Client with Counselor

Using a personalized approach, Amy helps clients identify past and current dysfunctional patterns and create positive change in thinking as well as behavior. Amy bases her interventions in family systems theory, focusing on the family as an emotional unit and recognizing that anxiety and negativity affect everyone in the family and lead to habitual reactions. Working with Amy, individuals, children and families learn to identify strengths and personality preferences in order to be more accepting of themselves and others. Additionally, they learn to take responsibility for their own thoughts and actions in order to create new, productive ways of interacting and being so that their needs and goals can be met.
